This is our mission statement of MIA village. We will be a lifelong model for our children. If we are happy, our children are also happy as well. Let’s find and create our own happiness together through village activities.
これはMIAビレッジの指標（村の存在意義）です。私たちは子どもたちの生きるお手本であります。私たちがハッピーであれば、子どもたちもハッピーな気持ちになれます。ビレッジの活動を通してハピネスを探し、一緒に創造していきましょう。
1. Put yourself in other people's shoes.
This comes first! Let's always try to be considerate of each other.
1. 相手の立場になって考え、行動するを心がけよう。
これは大原則です。それぞれが思いやりのある行動を常に心がけていきましょう。
2. Always turning your thoughts to Villagers and standing by them.
A heart is important for activities that support each other. The ideal is a give-and-take relationship, but there may be times when you just give or just take. Please participate when you can and just the way you are.
2. 寄り添う精神を大切にしよう！
お互いをサポートしあっていく活動には心が大切です。ギブ＆テイクの関係が理想ですが、ギブだけ、テイクだけの時もあるかもしれません。Village内では気負いすることなく、活動していきましょう。
3. You don’t have to try too hard to help others.
Please arrange your time and work for others not beyond your capacity. It is important to say “NO” if you are not willing to do so.
3. 頑張り過ぎないようにしよう。
依頼されたサービス、ボランティアワーク、お手伝いなどは無理のない範囲でお願い致します。断る勇気も大事です。
4. Share your thoughts.
Feel free to share anything no matter how small, troublesome or uncertain. Don’t keep to yourself. Your voices matter, and it might help others' problems.

どんな小さな事でも、困った事、わからない事、ご意見ご感想、胸に留めておかず、何でも気軽にシェアしていきましょう。あなたの声が他の方の問題を解決するきっかけになるかもしれません。
5. Keep Privacy and Confidentiality.
Do not disclose Villagers information to third parties. The happiness circle is also a circle of trust.

個人のプライバシーに関する事は他言無用でお願い致します。ハピネスの輪は信頼の輪でもあります。
6. Every failure is a stepping stone to success!
The MIA Village is a new idea. We may experience making mistakes or failure when we move forward, but that is totally OK. We will go through those processes in order to make our community better.

About Montessori International Academy
Montessori International Academy was established in Costa Mesa, CA in 2010 and currently is located in Santa Ana, CA. to provide authentic Montessori Education. We are bilingual, Japanese and English environments for 2 year olds to 9 year olds, through third grade. At Montessori International Academy, we respect and appreciate each child as a beautiful, unique human being who possesses the ability to self construct knowledge and concepts which is called auto education. To understand this ability is essential to know how the Montessori education works. There are three important aspects that illustrate this education: the prepared environment, guides (teachers), and children. In Montessori environments, these three elements interact with each other. MIA has seen our wonderful children show their full potential. MIA and MIA families are creating collaboratively the best environment for children.
Children are immersed in our uniquely prepared environment and can explore their own interests, curiosity, and inner drive. This inner drive is their Inner guidance. Children move and make choices in the environment, while the adults observe. This enables children to become self-regulated, responsible, independent learners. The prepared environment allows each child to construct him or herself. This process is called auto education.
In Montessori, the adults are called ”guides” rather than teachers. The guide creates the prepared environment implementing the Montessori curriculum structuring the manipulative materials in sequence. Another responsibility for the guide is to observe the materials and work that each child chooses and then plan lessons according to the need of each child.
Children's choices become more important when they grow older such as what they do in their lives. Each child’s life goals vary according to their experiences, own character, and mission of their lives. Montessori talks about cosmic tasks which naturally develop for each child over the years. Some children become creative business owners, some chess masters, or president of the United State, actress or artist. Your child will fulfill their cosmic task contributing to society what they choose to offer.
MIA believes that education does not stop when a child goes home, so we created a support community called MIA Village. This will serve the MIA families. It is a learning environment that goes between school and home and supports parents by providing knowledge, experiences, resources and tools for them to be the most effective teachers in a child's life.Montessori International Academy’s mission is to help children's journey as a developing individual as well as support families to have fun and fulfillment experience during parenting time.
MIA looks forward to seeing each child and who they become. モンテッソーリ国際学園について
モンテッソーリ国際学園は2010年コスタメサ市にて誕生し、現在はサンタアナ市にてモンテッソーリ教育を日本語と英語のバイリンガル環境にて行っています。当園では２才児からキンダーガーテン、そして小学部三年生までの教育プログラムがあります。
モンテッソーリ国際学園は子どもたち一人ひとりの人格を尊重し、子ども達それぞれが自己を形成していくプロセスをお手伝いする学校です。子どもたちにすでに備わっている力を「自己教育力」といい、これがモンテッソーリ教育の要となります。自己教育力は「環境」、「教師」、「子ども」の3つの重要な要素とその相互関係により、子どもたちの最大限の可能性を引き出します。私たちは、保護者の皆様と一緒に協力し子どもたちにとって最適な環境を作っております。
子どもたちはモンテッソーリ教育の整えられた環境の中で、自分の興味、探究心、欲求に誘われながら、活動します。自分でお仕事（活動）を選択し、教師はそれを観察します。このプロセスは、子どもが自分で考え行動できるようになると共に、集中力や責任感、問題解決能力を培うことができることを可能にします。整えられている環境だからこそ、自己教育力が発揮されるのです。
モンテッソーリでは教師は何かを教える人というより「ガイド」（支える人、支援する人）の立場で存在しなくてはいけません。モンテッソーリガイドの仕事は、モンテッソーリカリキュラムに沿った発達に見合った教具を系統的に（簡単なものから難しいものへ順序正しく）環境に整備する事、そして子どもたちが選んだ活動とその様子を観察して、レッスンに反映する事です。
子どもたちの日々の選択はのちに人生の選択と変わります。子どもたちの人生の目的は個々それぞれです。その子のもつ性格や経験、また人生で達成したい事により異なります。モンテッソーリは人間は長い時間をかけてコスミックタスク（宇宙的役割）を自分の中に育てると述べています。ある子どもはビジネスオーナーに、ある子どもは将棋のプロに、またある子どもは大統領、俳優、アーティストと。道はそれぞれ違いますが、皆自分の能力を社会の人々に貢献する為に発揮するのです。
当園が日々実践している教育は、子どもたちが学校から家に帰り、それぞれの家庭においても続いていると考えます。その教育の流れを各ご家庭でスムーズに持続できるようになればとの想いを込めて、「MIAビレッジ」というサポートコミュニティを誕生させました。このMIAビレッジは、子供たちが生涯学ぶモデルであるご両親、特にお母様方に学びの機会やサポート（つながり）を提供、共有していきます。モンテッソーリ国際学園は子どもたちが個々を育て、良い人生を歩んでいけるようサポートすることと同時に、保護者の皆様に楽しく充実した子育ての期間を過ごしていただけるようお力になりたいと考えます。
